“Carmel deals with contemplationem aliis tradere and not with contemplata aliis tradere. It does not deal with carrying over what has been contemplated upon but with opening up the path of contemplation to others. A Carmelite retreat is by design mystagogical, because it is the intention of the retreat that people within the context of their biographic experiences become aware of the hidden presence of the incomprehensible God and the working of his Spirit.”
(Into the living flame of love, 15)
The resident Carmelite community is open to receive people who wish to spend some days at the Priory for personal recollection or just to experience Carmelite life. The basic condition we require from visitors is to be respectful towards the religious community’s lifestyle demands and the daily schedule. For more information do not hesitate to contact us. From time to time we organise also group retreats at Lunzjata retreat centre.
