At the Priory we have been spiritually preparing, ourselves for this central feast in the liturgical calendar and in the life of the Church, mostly through the prayerful pondering of the Word of God in the daily homily as well as in the Lenten talks and seminar of Penthos Spirituality.
We are taking this opportunity of sending you the Holy Week programme to wish you a Blessed Easter and invite you to join us in the Liturgy and events for the coming Easter Season. As usual we will be celebrating the Easter Triduum Liturgy at 6pm on Maundy Thursday, 3pm on Good Friday and 8pm on Holy Saturday. This year on Spy Wednesday, after the 5.30pm Mass we will have a celebration around the Crucifix. There will be also time for confessions.
You are more then welcome to join the community for Morning and Midday Prayers during the Easter Triduum as well as to celebrate with us the Lamentation of the Virgin and the Anointing of the Altar with myrrh on Holy Saturday. The Lamentation of the Virgin is taken from the mystical texts of St Mary Magdalene de’ Pazzi, a Carmelite mystic who took at heart the Renewal of the Church. This year, as from April 2 we will be celebrating the 450th Anniversary of her birth … but more on this in the next newsletter!
