Whether Christ is journeying along beside us or whether he is at the end of time (eschaton) attracting us towards him, he still remains at the heart of our Christian faith. To become more Christ-like is to imitate him even more concretely in the love – i.e. that fundamental choice to be faithful come what may – that we show towards one another.
